Individual Therapy
The tools you will learn in CBT are designed to offer long term relief.
Individual therapy begins with an initial intake interview. During this session, both the client and psychologist have the opportunity to ask questions. Dr. Tomassetti will ask you questions about your personal history and current functioning to better understand how you may benefit from treatment.
If the client and psychologist decide to work together, subsequent sessions will focus on developing a roadmap for treatment. Together, you and Dr. Tomassetti will decide on the outcomes that would suggest successful therapy. With those goals in mind, you’ll get to work! CBT is fairly structured and typically includes a homework component to help maximize your efforts.
